  6. Creating Archives

  8. ¬†Agent Audio enables you to 
  9. make archives, or back-ups, of 
  10. your sounds in case you ever 
  11. want to change back to them later.
  12. This is something you will want to
  13. do before you begin customizing.  
  14. Agent Audio also allows you to 
  15. extract a sound from an application 
  16. or file to save as a standard, 
  17. double-clickable sound file in 
  18. System 7 format.  These two fea-
  19. tures are accessible through the
  20. ‚ÄúCreate Archive‚Äù button, located 
  21. on the left side of the bottom button
  22. bar.

  24.                                                       ¬†  To create an archive of your currently-open 
  25.                                                           destination file, simply click on the Archive button.  
  26.                                                           You will then be presented a save dialog window with two radio buttons at the bottom.  Click on the button next to "Agent Audio Archive."

  28. ¬†Finally, type in a name for this file, select the location on your hard
  29.   drive to which you would like to save the file, and click "Save."  Agent 
  30.   Audio will then create an Archive file that stores the current Destina-
  31.   tion File's sound resources.  You can open this any time in the Source           An Archive
  32.   File box to reinstall the sounds or use them in another application or file.                                File.

  35. Extracting Sound Files

  37. To extract and save a sound to a double-clickable SND file, select a sound in your Destination File list.  Then, click the "Archive" button.  You will then be presented a 
  38.                                                           save dialog window with two  radio buttons at the
  39.                                                           bottom.  Click on the button¬†next to "System 7 Sound
  40.                                                           File." Finally, type in a name for this file, select the
  41.                                                           location on your hard drive to which you would like 
  42.                                                           to save the file, and click "Save."
